Meet our Toronto Team
Meet Melanie Jacobson ND IBCLC a mother of two began her career in Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Shortly after achieving her status as an ND she gained valuable knowledge and experience while living in the UK and in Australia. After returning to Canada she began practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor in Toronto.
Around the time of her first maternity leave she decided to refocus her career, having had to overcome physical and emotional trauma from the birth and often feeling helpless as a new mom.
Her focus on postnatal care evolved and as a result she added the credentials as an IBCLC to be able to support Breastfeeding. She interned at Birth and Baby Needs in Burlington. Becoming a Lactation Consultant made complete sense as she refocused naturopathic training on postnatal care.. She now practice in Toronto, offering home, clinic and online visits.
Baby leads while parents follow and professionals watch, observe and intervene only when necessary during pregnancy, birth and life with a new child.
